We had some visitors in June and July! Lockdown was finally at the point where someone could come say hi, but for that to work we needed a room for them to stay in. Unfortunately for us, things were looking a little dire…
So we got to work. And finished it all, in a week.
Wallpaper all gone, Merilynn did that in two days! Bed is built, vacuum cleaner got a bit warm and packed in for a few hours Done! Another angle
Merilynn had the Monday off. Paper came off Saturday to Monday, then it all had to be sanded flat, all the myriad holes filled and sanded again, then it was all painted with two coats of white emulsion.
Finally the bed arrived and we got everything in ready for Esther to visit us.
We also had a big tidy/revamp of the kitchen, this was the best part:
Unfortunately the huge green chair is still with us, nobody will buy it, even the British Heart Foundation won’t take it.
