The Occasional Gardener

Alongside the work going on inside the house, we decided to spend the Easter Bank Holiday (like a lot of other people) at the garden centre well and Wilko as pots and soil are super expensive at the garden centre….

We bought several plants and seed packs.

We got to work planting the potatoes, onions, fuchsias, spearmint and oregano that weekend. We also replanted Lyn’s crab apple tree in a much bigger pot.

Since then our garden has grown again with the addition of ten raspberry canes, five purple sages, a hydrangea, a blueberry, more lavender, coriander, thyme and many chamomile plants.

We’ve also been able to enjoy some of the fruits of our labours.

Potatoes! We’ve also harvested raspberries, strawberries and blueberries. The onions will be ready in the next week or so.

We also bought a nice little table and chairs

And we ripped down the rotting…pergola? Thing? It was a death trap, anyway.

The small outhouse it was resting on is next, mark my words…
